We have arrived today in Dawson Creek BC (Aug. 6/09) after only driving 270 km.. Our schedule has been thus far - Day 1 (July 30) We drove 571 kilometers to Munising MI. Arrived in a downpour. Day 2 (July 31) We put on 728 Km. and arrived at Bimidji MN. again in the rain. Day 3 (Aug. 1) was a very tiring trip ( 846 km.) which ended in Weyburn SK. at the Wal-Mart Parking lot for the night. Day 4 (Aug.2) was another long day ( 803 km) to Drumheller AB (more rain again) but we finally took it easy the next day and visited around Drumheller. We saw Horsethief Canyon, Horseshoe Canyon, the Hoodoos, Last Chance Saloon in Wayne AB, Suspension bridge in Rosedale AB and top the seeing trip with a visit to the Royal Tyrel Museum. That day we only drove 160 km. Day 6 (Aug. 4) we were on the road again to St. Albert AB - a short drive of 330 km. in a rain storm and we visited a ghost town called Rowley AB in between. We decided to change our itinerary a bit and we made Day 7 (Aug. 5) to be Valleyview AB. A drive of only 350 km.. Day 8 of course is today in Dawson Creek BC. I am posting a few photos that I or my other cohorts have taken.
